Oxycodone which is sold under brand name of OxyContin. Oxycodone is an opioid  which is used to treat moderate to severe pain. It belongs to a group of medicine called Narcotic-Analgesics.

It works on central nervous system to get relief in pain. This medication should not be released for short time pain relief or short time pain relief from surgery. In case of mild pain recovery one should use non-narcotic medication.
